The past few months have been trying times for our country's economy. Salaries have not been able to keep pace with the rising cost of gas and basic necessities. This has put a strain on families all across the country and our community was not spared. [Linda Miller] says about 40 percent of the people they serve through Dare to Care are working families struggling to make ends meet "In most cases, if s people that have fallen on hard luck. If s not that they are lazy or trying to take the system." Linda says their mission is to simply feed people who are hungry. They do not ask questions when people turn to them for food. She believes they would not be there if they did not need to. Linda is saddened by the reality of people going hungry. "We need to change the political climate and our beliefs of what priorities are in this world," she says.
