In an interview, Jill Smart, chief human resources officer at professional services consultancy Accenture, talked about the company's unique flexible programs they offer. Smart said that they have their Future Leave program, which is an unpaid, self-funded sabbatical program where an employee can take up to three months off work and continue to receive benefits. So if an employee knows that they want to do this, they have Accenture withhold part of their salaries and apply it to an account that they can tap when they are off. Most of their programs have a maximum timetable.
