Description: Employees may involuntarily roll their eyes when they hear they're required to attend a diversity workshop because many programs' reputations precede them. Within organizations, the d-word gets bandied about so much that it's often the exception when diversity training initiatives are equated with positive change. Various studies have shown that diversity training is ineffective. It's not always just the training itself that is flawed. Sometimes it's also the program's context and delivery.
