					Birthday Child‘s Name & Age ___________________                                             HAIR AND NAILS
WELCOME:       Enter into Art Room to do Craft.
POSTER:        Make a poster with individual hand bags on it for the girls to draft the ―design‖ their hand bags prior to
               actually drawing ON their hand bag. Provide regular markers for this.
               Also, can make small boxes for the girls to design their lip gloss jar labels
PUPPET SHOW: None
Basic Concept: Glamour party, design their own bag and craft items to put in it
               Also, CRAFT PARTIES VARY ACCORDING TO SUPPLIES ON HAND/REQUEST FROM
               BIRTHDAY CHILD/PARTY THEME. PROVIDE AT LEAST ONE LARGE ITEM
               WITH 2 SMALLER ITEMS IF SOLELY A CRAFT THEME. ON HAIR / NAILS THEMES,
               ONE LARGE ITEM MAY BE ENOUGH AS YOU WILL ALSO BE DOING NAILS/HAIR.

Asstnts Costume:    Maybe dress up in a glamour type gown but make it tacky to be fun

Supplied & Props: Hand Bags –            Fabric Markers, Fabric Glue, Small Bead ―Powder‖, Gems, Foam Stickers
                  Hair Combs –           Combs, Floral Type Wire, Beads
                  Lip Gloss –            Film Canisters, Vaseline, Crystal Light Powdered Drink Mix, White Labels,
                                         1 Popsicle Stick, 1 Spoon, 1 small bowl, Markers, Crayons (?)
                    Nails –              Nail Polish, Polish Remover, Nail Files, Glitter, Nail Stickers
                    Hair -               Hair Spray, small hair clips, small hair ties, colored hair spray, bobby pins

                    Stations - As part of prep, setup one station in art room to pain nails and one station to do hair.

                    Explain crafts to be completed. Then, as girls are crafting pull out one girl to have her nails painted and
                    one to have hair done.      Variation: Do hair during art time and nails during Big Room Time


CRAFT PARTY / ALMOST SLEEP OVER / HAIR NAILS:
SUGGESTIONS:
PAINT FLOWER CROCK OR WOODEN BOX. EITHER CAN BE USED TO HOLD SMALLER CRAFT, SUCH AS A HAIR
CLIP/COMB, A BEAPED BRACELETTE, A PIN OR A KEY CHAIN.
Again, *****PROVDE SCRAP PAPER AND MARKERS TO SKETCH OUT DESIGNS PRIOR TO PAINTING OR USING
PAINT PENS ON ANY LARGE ITEM.

Find hidden or placed items and return them to the Party Host
          For Younger Children --         Free Play / Bubbles      / Freeze Dance / Parachute


          For Older Children     --       Limit / Eliminate Free Play and conduct organized activities.

          ie)        1.   Relay Races (Move Pirate Ship back to climbing area for more room)
                                 Divide into teams /       Line up at White Doors

                                    * Walking with a Ball Between Knees
                                    * Scooters
                    2.    Parachute
                          A.     Play Pop-Corn with many balls = Trying to keep Balls from Falling off
                          B.     Play Pop-One Ball = Try to work together as a team to Pop One Ball up to hit Ceiling
                                 by giving parachute strong shake on the count of 3.
                          C.     Play Sharks & Lifeguard = All hold handle of parachute with only head sticking out
                                 One child goes under the chute as ‗Shark‖ while another child walks around outside of
                                 circle. Shark pulls feet of one person attempting to pull child under. Lifeguard must keep
                                 watch and pull victim to safety by pulling his arms. Rotate children to be the Lifeguard
                                 and the shark.
