Summary
In our original answers to the questions regarding workstation specifications we noted the specs for the
average workstation in our libraries, rather than answering whether any of our computers met the
recommendations. A detailed analysis of four workstations in two of our libraries shows that we either
meet or exceed the 2002 Recommended Specifications for Public Access Workstations in Federal
Depository Libraries, with minor exceptions and explanations noted below. We have chosen to highlight
these four workstations because they are located in the two libraries where documents use is the most
concentrated and because they include our two GIS workstations for cartographic use.
