The IB will take into consideration this new code (AUMAS) when allocating codes to future IMPCs located at Sydney airport, particularly in the case of Australia Post. Australia Post has been requested to inform us if any of these three codes could be allocated the MAS code and they have replied stating that if there is an issue with the provision of any additional codes based on the SYD LOCODE, they are happy to accept the allocation of MAS – Mascot as a suitable alternative. 4 The CAM would like the DCG to discuss and approve this application for three new codes for Australia Post for the Sydney (SYD) area.
