The program is packed with practical techniques necessary for agency survival in this challenging economy. Essentials of Fundraising
This workshop will acquaint and equip prospective or novice grant seekers with the skills and tools they need to research, prepare and submit effective and competitive proposals for funding from a variety of grantmakers. Topics to be covered will include: the anatomy of a grant; hallmarks of a successful grant; prospect research; individuals, foundations, corporations and government entities as grantmakers; building a case for your cause; assembling a proposal-writing “tool kit”; building relationships with funders and collaborators; including evaluation techniques in your proposals; understanding sustainability; and follow-up with and cultivation of funders.
