There will be food, crafts, buffet style luncheon, silent auction and a raffle. Please plan to join us, it is sure to be a great time! We are busy gathering baskets for the raffle and silent auction items. A letter has been sent out to many area business including previous and potential donors asking for their support. The purpose of this letter is to make the same request of our parents, guardians and friends. Do you have items that you are able to donate? Might you have a personal contact who would consider a donation? We are again planning to have 50 large raffle baskets/items and 10-15 silent auction items. The basket theme was such a big success we plan to continue with it again this year. Ideas for the raffle baskets can include but not be limited to: winter themed basket, favorite book basket, Webkinz basket, Starbucks basket, Teavana Basket, baby basket, craft basket, game basket, movie night basket, as you know the ideas are endless and we appreciate anything you can donate. We would welcome all items including gift certificates for restaurants and area stores, sports memorabilia, children’s theme items (Disney, Star Wars, etc), tickets to shows and sporting events, weekend get-aways to the beach or ski destination. Fundraising for CAWLI’s Rainbow Fund is one of the many things we do at the Chinese New Year Party. Monies raised directly benefit many children in orphanges in China who aren’t afforded the opportunities of our children. Last year’s Chinese New Year event raised $7,100 for the Rainbow Fund. Feel free to contact Elizabeth Ekborg King with any questions regarding Chinese New Year or if you would like to discuss a donation at 781-439-5680 or email at email@example.com You may also contact the CAWLI office directly at 617-731-5756 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org Sincerely, Elizabeth Ekborg King Chinese New Year Committee China Adoption with Love Chinese New Year Party – Celebrating the Year of the Tiger Saturday, February 6, 2010 11:00 a.m. -3p.m. YOUR donation of an item for the Auction/Raffle is greatly appreciated!!
