Alderwood include elected officials, COL employees, former
April 25, Mall COL elected officials & employees, media, founding
2009 families/businesses, and the like.
Celebration for the public: Saturday, 04/25/09 at
Alderwood mall with the public reflecting on
Lynnwood’s heritage as well as its future. This
event could kick-off a public participation birthday
contest or event and/or also be an opportunity to
share the Community’s Vision adopted by Council
on 11/12/08.

Celebration -- LHS and it’s our 50 birthday so let’s do it up in a
Costume Parade & Sharon Schierle big way! This year, we’ll start earlier with a parade Exec

Community Picnic along 184 leading to a community picnic with fun
family activities until fireworks light up the sky!
Prizes for best costumes will be well-publicized and
will encourage participants to get creative – most
patriotic, best historical, futuristic, cutest kid, most
“green”, etc. There will be a judging grandstand for
the parade. Fireworks will be longer & “flashier”
than last year and the stage will be more significant
with higher caliber entertainment throughout the
evening.

success attracting an estimated 5,000 attendees.
For 2009, we anticipate higher-caliber
entertainment and décor, more cultural elements,
perhaps shuttle transportation to ease parking, and
an iconic lighting element that can be enjoyed
throughout the holiday season.
