Starbucks convened its second cup summit at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Apr 22 and 23, 2010. The summit included a live chat hosted by Starbucks Director of Environmental Impact Jim Hanna and Peter Senge, founding chair of MIT's Society Organizational Learning. One of Starbucks' biggest challenges remain -- assuring that its recyclable and compostable cups are recycled and composted.
