The “In-Tray”
• Manage events that you create
• Disabling the In-tray
– Double-click on the General category, and select Startup. Under "In-tray Startup," select "Do not open In-tray". Click OK to close the Options window. – If you disable your In-tray, you check for recently added events from the agenda view. From the View menu, select Refresh All, and events to which you've been invited will display on the appropriate day.

Meetings
• A meeting indicates any item that should appear at a particular date and time on your agenda; indicates that you are NOT available at that time.

– View new meeting panel. – Add a title of your meeting – If appropriate, check the box labeled Tentative – Add details into the Details box – Add location of the meeting – Add date, starting time, and duration of the meeting – Click OK

Importance and Access Level
• Usually, set to Normal.
– Importance: help prioritize your time – Access: affects how many details about the meeting other people can see. By default, people cannot see any details about meetings that you put on your calendar, unless you set the Access Level of the event to Public.

Email
• Check Send Email Notification if you'd like other people you invite to the meeting to be notified via e-mail. The calendaring system uses whatever email address the recipient has listed with the Department of Personnel Services as their default e-mail address.

Inviting Others
• Type a name into the box to the right of the words People and Resources
– Click the FIND button – If using the First and Last name doesn't work, try using just the last name. – Invite one or a lot of people to the meeting – Each will appear in the list of people
