Quality
HAUPA has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9000 since 1996 (2003 DIN EN ISO 9001).
In order to incorporate a true quality standard the quality management department of HAUPA decided at a very early stage to apply for
ISO 9000 certification, which controls and covers the complete internal working and monitoring procedures.
From goods receipt to dispatch – all working processes are carried out according to defined procedures.
All HAUPA employees receive regular training in order to comply with these standards and to encourage them to actively suggest ways of improving the
processes. Special, so-called QMB employees analyse modified structures and integrate these into the defined standards. Independent auditors carry
out audits at regular intervals to ensure compliance.

Cable cutters
Cable cutter with a snap Diagonal cutter DIN 5749
The new cable-shears of HAUPA cuts cables in a non-compromising and forceful alloyed carbon steel, forged and annealed, cutting edges induction hardened,
manner almost without effort and in a single-hand-operation. A patented with 2 component plastic handle with hand protection, chrome plated, polished
twin-stage adjustment mechanism brings the handles of the tool to a position head, for soft wire and hard wire (Standard program)
that is perfect for the development of the full force of the hand even while the
cutting jaws are wide open. By this means, even cables with large crosssections
can be cut in a forceful and fast manner with a single hand without unduly
excess labour.

According to VDE 0105 Part 1 Para. 9.6.4 the cable cutter 216416 is used for
cutting low and medium voltage cables up to 60 KV AC. It has been tested by
the Professional Association of Precision Mechanics and Electro-Technology
based on-testing GS ET-23 and has been awarded the GS-seal of approval. If a
live wire is cut by accident, the operator is not in any danger.
The 10 m long high pressure hydraulic hose, which connects the pump to the
cutting head, guarantees the highest standard of safety due to it special insula-

21 62 38 2 2500 1 ched to the pump, since, in general, the cutting head con not be seen when a
21 62 40 3 3000 1 cable is cut. This process has been tested repeatedly at medium voltage, with
21 62 42 4 5000 1 live wires and continuing main supply.
21 62 44 5 6000 1 The cutting range goes up to 90 mm. The 12 mm cutting blades are made of
high yield point steel and are polished, thus wear- and tear- resistant, A strongly
dimensioned guidance of the blades guarantees a high degree of mechanical
stability. Even in the event of a short circuit, a safe cutting of the wires is guaran-
teed, since the individual blades overlap by approx. 20 mm. The blades open
themselves when pressure is reduced. The high pressure hose bursts at 2700
bar. The pressure relief safety system of the pump has been adjusted at a 625
bar level.

Wire stripper
Cable stripper, automatic
INFO no wire damage, even fine wires are stripped according to standard, replaceable
Wire strippers blade made from special steel, robust metal body, a pressure spring returns the
pliers to their original position, suitable for fibre optics, rubber and silicon
A distinction is made between the following processing tools. insulated cables
Manually adjustable cable strippers
Are set manually to the stripping diameter by feel.
Because of this there is a high danger of damaging the wire
(HAUPA Article no. 210644+210643).
Automatic or self-adjusting cable strippers
For quick and easy cutting and stripping. These tools adjust themselves
automatically to the required cable diameter or insulation thickness.
It is not possible to damage the wire or the insulation. A length stopper
makes repetitive stripping a simple matter.
(HAUPA Article no. 211930+210683+ 210690).

Crimping pliers for end sleeves
INFO Crimping pliers
Crimping pliers for end sleeves heavy construction, with locking device, with adjustable crimp pressure, chrome
plated, trapezoid crimping
When crimping end sleeves a distinction is made between sleeves with
and without plastic collars and between trapezoid and square crimping.
The sleeves with a plastic collar make it easier to insert individual stran-
ded wires. The coloured marking on the wire end sleeves is used to
classify the cross section.
Pliers with a square crimp ensure better contact in the terminal strip. Art. No. crimp weight PU

Crimping pliers for uninsulated open brass cable lugs

crimp pressure, 211664/66/68 with Locator, roll crimping
lugs
We distinguish between wire crimps and insulation crimps. The end of
the wire should be flush with the wire crimp or extend beyond it no
further than 1 mm, so that the plug function is not affected.
The insulation end must not project into the wire crimp, however it must
also not lie just half beneath the insulation crimp. Only in this way can
a standard-compliant crimp be ensured.
In a good crimp the wire must be deformed. In this case one talks of a Art. No. crimp weight PU
“gastight crimp”. 21 07 77 0.5 - 1.5 450 1

Mechanical crimping pliers for tubular cable lugs / Crimping dies
INFO Crimping dies
Mechanical crimping pliers for tubular cable lugs for crimping terminals and connectors, standard range,
WM crimping
and connectors
Mechanical crimping tool characterised by its compact design.
It is possible to make crimps even in confined working conditions,
where conventional large tools cannot be used. Art. No. Al (mm2) weight PU
The mature construction of the drive has proven its reliability many 21 50 04 10 100 1 pair
times over in practice. In this manual crimping tool very little wear can 21 50 06 16 120 1 pair
be seen even after many years of use, this is decisive for the reliable 21 50 08 25 180 1 pair
repetition of the required crimping depth. After all, today’s highly 21 50 10 35 200 1 pair
21 50 12 50 250 1 pair
stressed crimped connections only comply with safety regulations when
the required electrical and mechanical values are achieved over long
periods. Crimping dies
Another safety aspect is that the crimping tool can only be detached noninsutated crimping terminals, mandrel shape
crimping, DIN 46234 21 50 14-22
from the crimped lug when the required crimping depth has been rea-
ched. By turning the wheel on the handle in an anti-clockwise direction 21 50 24
the crimping inset can be set in position on the lug. Only then does the
actual crimping process begin with the one-hand lever.
Art. No. (mm2) weight PU
The quality of the crimped connection is dependent on the choice of 21 50 14 6 upper tools 20 1
cable lug, the crimp inset and the correct choice of cable cross section. 21 50 16 10 upper tools 20 1
