                   No more credit cards
At Camosun College, student education and
              services come first.

Each year the college pays a significant
amount in transaction fees to various credit
card companies. But no longer. As of January
1, 2010, that money (over $250,000!) will stay
in the College operating budget, providing
students with the quality education and
              services Camosun is known for.

This policy applies only to domestic
              tuition, not international student tuition
              or continuing education course payment.
Furthermore, this policy does not apply
to the $35 application fee, or the $150
registration deposit which may still be paid
              by credit card.

And we still take on-line banking, cheques,
              cash and debit payments!

  Camosun Online & Distributed Education
                       What is Distributed Education (DE)?
Distributed Education is delivery of course material using a variety of learning technologies such as
over the Internet, the radio, by correspondence or a combination of distance education media with on-
campus components.
Students taking DE courses spend less time on campus than students who are engaged in more
traditional course delivery. DE offers the flexibility and accessibility that would otherwise not be
possible.
Some courses may require permission of the instructor to take in a distance format. Many courses
will have face-to-face contact at some point in the course, requiring the ability to access the campus
locations.
Orientations: Some DE courses have orientations at the beginning of the term. Please make a note of
these orientation dates/times/rooms as listed in the timetable and plan to attend.
For further details on Distributed Education please see camosun.ca/de/success.html
