Guidelines for budget development will be made available by the Vice President Finance & Administration in mid-January. This report is completed on Banner 2000 software under FBABDRA Printed directions for this process are available from the Banner Help Desk; be sure to “Save” before hitting “Exit” button. Data entered must move through divisions and schools in order to reach Vice President by March 15 for review. Vice Presidents forward approved budgets to VP Finance & Administration by late March. Banner 2000 allows for notes to be included; use this to explain changes. (B2K refers to this as “Line Item Text”) Make sure that the budget aligns with and supports Goals set by and for the reporting unit.
