VMukti mainly consists of core features such as Video conferencing, Audio conferencing, IP Telephony, Desktop sharing, Chat, Whiteboard, Presentation, Scheduler & More. VMukti enables the users to efficiently communicate with each other. A system blends all of the functionalities required to collaborate, using intuitive and user-friendly graphical interface. About this Guide The VMukti User Guide is designed for the users who are new to this Web based application. VMukti User Guide helps you to get familiar with the collaborative conferencing concepts and functionalities of various VMukti widgets. This guide helps you to participate in collaborative conference in a more meaningful and efficient manner through VMukti. For using VMukti, users should be familiar with personal computer and Web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. Overview VMukti is a Unified Social Collaborative conferencing engine, allows access through personalized, web-interface. As of date there is a huge dearth of social community engines that offer good quality unified communications with multipoint conferencing and social collaboration plug-ins for 3rd party websites. Very few of their products converges the power of Web, P2P and Telecom – enabling web, phone, mobile or IP phone users to collaborate. VMukti scores over USE-AS-IS systems that are non-customizable and non-scalable by providing P2P modular customizable platforms to clients. It is proud to promote the emergent open source culture. VMukti also tides over the problem of High costs owing to large server / bandwidth requirements as well as low quality output of collaboration platforms. VMukti consists of widgets, each of which represents a specific functional aspect such as Video conferencing, Audio conferencing, IP Telephony, Desktop sharing, Chat, Whiteboard, Presentation, Scheduler & More. If the user is not sure whether his/her system meets the requirements or how to use required third-party tools, such as a Web browser, talk to your system administrator. VMukti server is ready for use as a collaborative conferencing engine with URL: http:///vmukti, where Server IP is the IP address of the system where VMukti server is installed. Server-user (who has installed VMukti server) can use VMukti in one of the usage scenarios. And for adding buddies in VMukti collaborative conferencing (installed on the server-user’s server), send the URL (http:///vmukti) to clients. Server-user does not require VMukti client installation. For clients, download and install VMukti client, no need to follow the usage scenarios and just browse the URL found from server-user. VMukti usage scenario: Scenario-1: If you start VMuktiBootstrap service the Server can’t functions as a client  Do not browse VMukti URL on server PC  If server pc is on a live IP, then clients can access the VMukti from anywhere across the globe. And if server pc belongs to a LAN, then clients can access the VMukti of that server from the same LAN only.  Browse VMukti from other PCs (client’s PCs) with URL: http:///vmukti , where ServerIP is IP of the server where VMukti server is installed. And now start participating in collaborative conference.  You can follow user guide for getting detail information about how to use VMukti widgets (modules). Scenario-2: The Server wants functions as a client:    Stop the "VMuktiBootstrap" service (Start > Administrative Tools > Services > VMuktiBootstrap). Must browse VMukti URL on server PC, if this not done, other clients won’t be able to communicate. If server pc is on a live IP, then clients can access the VMukti of this server from anywhere across the globe if and only if the VMukti client is running on the server. And if server pc belongs to a LAN, then clients can access the VMukti of this server from the same LAN only. Browse VMukti from other PCs (client’s PCs) with URL: http:///vmukti , where ServerIP is IP of the server where VMukti server is installed. Start participating in collaborative conference. You can follow the user guide for getting detail information about how to use VMukti widgets (modules).   Technical Requirements: Software Requirements: To use the VMukti web application, user need to have the following software installed and configured on system.    .NET Framework 3.5 Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or later Security Certificate used in VMukti and Security certificate issue is scheduled to be resolved by launching VMukti Light Edition. Hardware Requirements:  Minimum: 400 MHz CPU, 96 MB RAM, 800x600 256-color display  Recommended: 2.0 GHz or higher CPU, 512 MB or more RAM, 1024x768 high color 32-bit display  Up to 500 MB of hard disk space may be required System Requirements:  Supported Architectures: X86  Supported Operating Systems:  For VMukti Server:  Microsoft Windows Server 2003  For VMukti Client:  Microsoft Windows XP  Microsoft Windows Server 2003  Microsoft Windows Vista Home  Microsoft Windows Vista Business  Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate  Microsoft Windows Server 2008  Supported Internet Browsers: Internet Explorer 6 Internet Explorer 7 Mozilla Firefox 2 and Later Network Requirements: 56kbps – 256kbps bandwidth  Accessing VMukti Access the VMukti using a Web browser. For client enter the URL found from VMukti server in the web browser’s address bar. For server-user follow the usage scenario.  To log into the system 1. Enter the VMukti Server URL in the Web browser’s address bar. The Register/Login page comes. Register on the page. 2. Register/Login:  For first time user, enter user-id and password in the specified fields then click on the Register Button.  If you are a registered user enter your user-id and password and press login.  Enter E-mail ID.  Click on Submit Button to Register  Click Cancel Button to cancel the registration You will be directed to the VMukti Welcome page, with a message “user created successfully” First time user enter username, password and valid email Id for register your name. Now, enter your registered username and password. Then press Login button. Login:   Enter User Name and Password in specified fields. Click on Login Button. The VMukti Home Page opens with login status. For getting overview of VMukti widgets go to VMukti widgets section. Chapter 2 Navigating the User Interface This chapter describes how to navigate the VMukti main page.     Overview of Welcome page Widgets before login to the VMukti Registering to the system Widgets after login to the VMukti Overview of welcome page Welcome page image shown below depicts the different links/buttons. Module Explorer Buddy List Them es Consol e Welcom e Settings Sign out Grid Section Pag es Module s Module s List Page List New Page New Tab Page Handling Menu Pod Minimize Pod handling menu Pod Minimize Pod Maximize Used to close a buddy’s name’ view from this drop list of added buddies in the widget. It removes only an item from view list not from added buddies list. Brief introduction of the different links are given below:  Module Explorer Module Explorer tag is used to load module explorer in the left pane. Module explorer displays all the supported VMukti widgets.  Buddy List Whenever we click on Buddy list tag, My Buddies pane will be opened. In My Buddies pane, we can view registered buddies to the particular VMukti server. For viewing online user to the server, enter his/her user id in the specified field named “My Buddies” (it starts in right side of main body on clicking to “Buddy List”). If the entered particular user is online, user id of the user along with a green buddy icon gets added in list below to the field. If the entered particular user is offline, user id of the user along with a red buddy icon gets added in list below to the field. If a user enters an unregistered user id in the field, a message with “Requested Buddy is not registered yet” pops up and if a user enters self-user id in the field, a message with “You cannot add yourself in your buddy list” popup. Themes By clicking on the Themes, user can select provided themes  Console It is used to see events/activities running behind the scene.  Welcome tag When user logged in to the system, main page will be opened. In welcome tag, username will be displayed by which user has logged in  Settings Using this option you can add your own module into your application.  Page By clicking on the page option, you can select the page which you have saved in your application.  Modules List By clicking on the module option, list of all the widgets will be displayed.  Sign Out By this option you can log out from your application  Page List Using this tag, list of all the pages will be displayed which are saved by the user.  New Page If you want to add new page into the main window of the application, click on New Page tag and give the page name.  New Tag If you want to add new tag into the page, click on New Tag and give the tag name.  Page Handling Menu This option will display the menu option of any page like close, delete, rename and buddies. You can select any option as per your requirements.  Default page A default page with name “Default Page” is added on home page after login. The weather and news widget starts under this default page.  Rename page This tab is used to rename a page. Just click on Rename link and enter new name to the page then press Enter.  Delete page This tag is used to delete unwanted page. Click on the menu option of the page which you want to delete and click on delete option. Page will be deleted.  Close page This tab is used to close a page. Click on the menu option of the page which you want to close and click on close option. On closing a page, a pop message will be displayed whether you want to save the page. User can retrieve the saved pages from the “Page” section in left pane and by clicking on it the user can retrieve all tabs of that page with the works performed in the widgets.  Add Page This tag is used to add a new page. Just click on “Add Page” to add a new page then press Enter. It opens new page with a default tab named “New Page-0”. You can rename the page by clicking on the default tab (New Tab-0). A page can contain more than one tab and a tab is used to perform collaborative conferencing using more than one widgets.  Default tab After login into the system, a default page with name “Default Page” is added in to the main window of the application. In that a default tab with name “Default Tab” is added. This tab always contains whether and news widgets.  Rename tab Click on Rename tab on the tab menu option to rename the selected tab and enter a name which you want to display to the particular tab and then press Enter.  Delete tab To delete the particular tab, click on particular tab menu option and select delete option to delete the current tab.  Close tab To close the particular tab, click on particular tab menu option and select close option to close the current tab. On closing a tab, a pop message asks to save the tab. This enables user to save the active tabs being used. User can retrieve the saved tab to the particular page to which it belongs.  Add tab If you want to add a new tab on the particular page then click on “+”and enter a name of the tab which you want to displayed to the tab, then press Enter.  Login and Register A New user needs to register with valid Email Id. New user has to fill up the information like User Name, Password and Valid Email Id. Registered user can login into the system with VMukti username and password. Widgets before login to VMukti User can use weather and news widget present in the welcome page of without login to the VMukti system. News Widget This widget will become visible on the default page of the main window without login into the system. News Widget provides the latest news from IBN news network without login to the VMukti system. Click on the Select the category tab to know the news category of the news from IBN Live widget which you want to see. It will display all the categories like top stories, life style etc. User can select the particular category as per his choice and view the news which is shown in the image. This widget will become visible on the default page of the main window without login into the system Using Weather widget you can check the temperature of particular city. User can view the temperature in two units – Centigrade and Fahrenheit. How to use:   Click on the weather selection button located on the right hand top. Select the country, city from the drop down list to view the temperature of selected combination Weather widget Select the country and city from the right pane of the whether widget of which you want to know the temperature. Select the country from the list. Select the city from the list If you want to make this weather as default page then enable the set default box. Then click on Get button to know the weather details. This screen shot displays the weather of Bombay Feature: Set default city temperature  Click on the weather selection button located on the right hand top.  Select the country and the city from the drop down menu to view the temperature of selected combination  Check the set default checkbox if you want to set the selected combination as default  Click on “Get” to view the entered combination and it will be set as default entry for your page if you checked the Set default option. View other informations about weather  Click on the weather selection button located on the left hand top.  After pressing the button you will view the following information about weather: o Wind o Visibility o Sky conditions o Temperature o Dew point Registering to VMukti application: For registering to VMukti, user has to enter his/her user id and password along with the valid email-id. User should keep in mind following points while writing their email-id. 1. User id includes A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and special characters such as underscore( _ ) and dash sign (-) 2. User should follow standard format such as john@vmukti.com. 3. User cannot use more than one @ in their email-id. 4. User cannot use space for writing their email-id. Widgets after Login After login, user can use the following VMukti widgets in Module Explorer on the left pane of the page. To use a widget user has to drag and drop that widget as per requirements to central working pane.  Audio: This widget allows user to participate in audio collaborative conferencing, where more than one user can talk at real time using a headphone and mike. Chat: This widget allows user to participate in text based collaborative conferencing, where more than two user can chat at real time. Co-authoring: This widget allows user to participate in text based collaborative conferencing, where more than one user can write and edit on same text pad at real time. File Search: User can share and search files collaboratively at real time. Presentation: This widget can be used to give/participate in online collaborative power point presentation at real time. Scheduler: The Scheduler manages your schedule and upcoming activities. User can add their activities in the scheduler and Video: This widget allows users to participate in video conferencing collaboratively at real time. Whiteboard: Using this widget, users can draw/write/edit in whiteboard collaboratively at real time.        Chapter 3 Using VMukti Login to VMukti: To access the facilities provided by VMukti, user has to be a member of it. For first time user registration is required whereas registered user can directly login to VMukti. How to Register:    Write User id and password in specified fields then click on the Register Button. Enter User Name, Password and E-mail ID. Click on Ok Button. How to Login:   Enter User Name and Password. Click on Login Button. All of the widgets supported by VMukti provide real time collaborative conferencing facilities. Different widget use different mode of data transaction. All clients login to VMukti server are members of mesh created on the server. So among these members, one has to start a conference (audio/video/chat/…) may be called as a host of the particular conference and others have to participate in that whoever gets invitation from the host. For viewing online user to the server, enter his/her user id in the specified field named “My Buddies” (it starts in right side of main body on clicking to “Buddy List”). If the entered particular user is online, user id of the user along with a green buddy icon gets added in list below to the field. If the entered particular user is offline, user id of the user along with a red buddy icon gets added in list below to the field. If a user enters an unregistered user id in the field, a message with “Requested Buddy is not registered yet” pops up and if a user enters selfuser id in the field, a message with “You cannot add yourself in your buddy list” popup. For starting/hosting a widget, drag the widget onto central region of main page. For adding/inviting a guest for participating in the started widget, drag the user from “My Buddies” list onto title bar of the particular widget, it will ask to save the page, save it for moving ahead. After successful addition, user id of the added buddy appears on the upper part of the particular widget. First time user, Click on Register button for registration. Enter User Name, Password and Valid E-mail ID in specified filed. Click OK Button to Register Click Cancel Button to cancel the registration. Enter your User Name and Password. Click on Login Button to login VMukti application. After clicking on OK “User created successfully” message will be displayed. After successful login, User id will be displayed on the task bar as shown. Working with Grids and widgets The central pane is divided into three grids where you can drag and drop the widgets. Grid 1 Grid 2 Grid 3 This image show the chat, whiteboard and co-authoring widgets opened in the grid To increase the grid size Widgets options Every widgets has the following buttons for their operation  Minimize  Options  Close  Hide the title bar Click here to minimize the widget Click here to view the options available with a widget Click here to close the widget Click here to hide the title bar the widget Minimized widget Title bar gets hidden widget Press this button to get the title bar again (It gets hidden if you move the mouse out of the widget) Chat Widget Chat is one of the features provided by VMukti collaborative conferencing, where users can chat through text messages collaboratively. Use the Chat Widget to communicate with the friends which you have added in your Buddy list. How to Use: 1. Drag the chat widget onto the tab. 2. Drag buddies from the buddy list to whom user want to chat. 3. Buddy who is dragged on to the tab will be displayed on the buddy list button. After performing the above steps user can chat with the buddies. For using chat collaborative conference drag the chat widget into the main pane of the grid After drag and drop the chat widget into the main pane of the grid, Chat widget will be displayed on the center pane of the main window. Drag Buddies at the title bar of the chat window from the Buddy List with whom User wants to chat. Buddies who are in the chat will be displayed on the upper part of chat widget box. User can also use the Buddy List button to see that which buddies are participating in the chat After adding buddies in the chat windows, user can chat with their buddies Co-Authoring VMukti provides facility of Co-Authoring. Co-Authoring allows multi user to write/edit something on same page collaboratively. How to Use:    Drag co-authoring widget on the tab. Drag Buddies on Co-Authoring from Buddy list. Activities on this Widget display to all the participants of the Co-Authoring. Features:                   New Document: It is used to create new document of Co-Authoring widget. Open Document: It is used to open a text document on Co-Authoring. Save Document: It is used to save the co-authoring document, which is being used by the user. Cut: With this user can cut some/whole content from existing document. Copy: With this user can copy some/whole content from existing document. Paste: With this user can paste copied content. Undo: With this user can undo the changes they have made. Redo: With this user can redo the changes. Bold: With this user can make the font style bold. Italic: With this user can make the font style italic. Underline: with this user can underline the content of their choice. Grow font: With this user can increase the font size. Shrink font: With this user can decrease the font size. Bullets: With this user can differentiate the points. Numbering: With this user can give number to the points. Right Align: With this user can align the selected text on the right side. Left Align: With this user can align the selected text on the left side. Centre Align: With this user can align the selected text on the center. To start Co-Authoring, drag the Co-Authoring widget in a grid on the central pane of the main window. Elaborate the grid of co-authoring widget to make better view of working area. Drag Buddies from the Buddy List with whom User wants to share the co-authoring widget on the title bar of the co-authoring widget. All added users will be displayed on the upper portion of the Co-Authoring widget. Text written on this Widget will be displayed to all the participants of the Co-Authoring widget. Following two screen shots shows that the both users are sharing common co-authoring window. Here username is “adiance” Here username is “user2” New Document: This tag is used to create a new Co-authoring text document. When user clicks on this tag, it will be first asked to save the older document. If user clicks on Yes then it will be saved to particular destination. When user click on the new tab to open new document , it will asked whether user wants to save the previous co-authering contens. . If user click on yes then it will be saved to the local computer in .rtf format. By clicking No, the contents will not be saved and open new document. Open: If you want to open the previous saved document then click on the open tab. The image shows that user has selected a .rtf document which is on the local computer to open it. Opened file displays: After selecting .rtf document from the local computer, the document will be dislayed on the CoAuthoring window. Save Document: This tag is used to save the recent document to the local computer in .rtf format. Save wizard: It is display the save wizard to save the co-authoring contents to the local computer of the user.. Cut Button: This button is used to cut a selected text from Co-Authoring window. Functionalities are same as Microsoft Word Document. Copy Button This button is used to copy the selected text from the Co-Authoring window. Functionalities are same as Microsoft Word Document. Paste Button: This button is use to paste the copied text into the co-authoring conference widget. Functionalities are same as Microsoft Word Document. Undo Button: This button is used to rollback the actions performed previously by the user. Functionalities are same as Microsoft Word Document. Redo Button: This button is used to perform the tasks which are previously performed by undo button. Functionalities are same as Microsoft Word Document. Bold Button: It can be used to bold a selected text. User has to select the text which he/she wants to make it bold. After selecting the text, click on bold button. Functionalities are same as Microsoft Word Document. Italic Button: It can be used to italic a selected text. User has to select the text which he/she wants to make it Italic. After selecting the text, click on Italic button. Functionalities are same as Microsoft Word Document. Underline Button: It can be used to underline a selected text. User has to select the text on which he/she wants to place underline. After selecting the text, click on Underline button. Functionalities are same as Microsoft Word Document. Increase Font Size Button: It can be used to increase the font size of a selected text. Select the text of which you want to increase the font. Many times you will click on the Increase button, font will be increase. Functionalities are same as Microsoft Word Document. Reduce Font Size Button: It is used to reduce the font size of a selected text. Select the font to reduce its size as per requirements. Bullets: It can be used to insert bullets. In any paragraph or line, if you want to put bullets, then click on the bullet button. It will show different types of bullets. Select any one from that and put it into your application View hidden tools of Co-Authoring This are hidden tools for align text. Left align: It can be used to align the selected text towards left. Select the text and click on the left align button. Text will shift to the left align of the co-authoring widget. Functionalities are same as Microsoft Word Document. Center Align: It can be used to align the selected text towards center. Right Align: It is used to align the selected text towards right. The image below shows how to use this feature. Align Justify: It can be used to justify the selected text. The image below shows how to use this feature File Search Widget: File Search is used to share as well as search shared files. For sharing local files residing in a folder, browse to the folder and click on “Rebuild the index”. All the text files will be shared for the buddies registered to the server. For searching a text file, write name or a part of name of the required file in the specified field, click on “Search” button; link of all shared files whose name is/containing the entered name will be displayed in specified panel below to the search field. How to Use:     Drag File Search widget on the tab. Drag Buddies for adding/participating in this widget. Browse to a folder for sharing text files inside that. Index the text files residing in the browsed folder.  Search shared text file. Using File Search: For using this widget, drag the File Search widget from the left pane to central pane. Then drag your buddies with whom you want to do online file sharing/searching collaboratively, on the title bar of File Search widget. Click on browse button to share your folder with buddies added in this widget. Text files reside in this folder will be shared after creating index. Press Ok to share your folder. Press Cancel to close the window without sharing the folder. Press Make New Folder to create new folder in the specified path. Create index of shared text files reside in the browsed folder, without creating index, file won’t be searched. Click on “Rebuild the index” button for creating indexes to the text files reside in the browsed folder. After successful index creation, user can see a message with “Done. Indexed # files (# bytes). Skipped # files. Took #time” below the Browse button. For searching a text file, write name or a part of name of the required file in the specified field, click on “Search” button; the path of all shared files whose name is/containing the entered name will be displayed in specified panel below to the search field. It searches among your shared files and all other shared files, shared by added buddies in this widget. The black field below search button displays link to the searched files. On clicking on a link the file gets open on the local machine. Presentation Widget: Presentation Widget is used to give online power point presentation to the buddies added with this widget. Host (who drags/starts the presentation widget) can give presentations and the buddies (guest) added into this widget see/participate in the presentation, guests can only view the presentation. How to Use:        Start Presentation widget Add buddies in this widget for inviting them to participate in presentation Click on Browse Button. Select the File that User want to share. Click on Upload button to upload the selected file. Respond to the Uploaded file message. Click on the desired slides of the uploaded presentation file shown on the left panel Features:   Browse: To browse the presentation File. Step 1: Click on Browse Button. Step 2: Select the File that User want to share. Upload: To Upload the File. Step 1: Click on Upload button to upload the selected file. Step 2: Respond to the Uploaded file message. To start the presentation widget drag it to the central pane. The image below shows how to use this feature To add buddies in the presentation module, drag the desired buddy from the buddy list into the title bar of presentation. Click on the Browse button to select the presentation which you want to share with other buddies. .  Select the presentation from the Open dialog box from your computer.   Click on Open button to open the file. Click on Cancel button to close the window. To share your presentation with your buddies click on Upload button. Browse and select the file to be uploaded. After uploading the presentation, message box will be displayed to inform that File upload.    Uploaded file will be displayed on the first pane of the main window. All the slides of selected file will be displayed on second pane. By selecting the Slide User can share it with their buddies. Whiteboard Widget: White Board widget more or less have the functionalities of paint. User can draw circle, rectangle, line etc. on the whiteboard. User also can see pictures on the white board. How to Use:   Drag White-Board widget on the tab. Add buddies in this widget to enable them to see the activities performed on whiteboard There is a single painting pad for User & their buddies i.e. whatever written by user will be visible to their online buddies and vice-versa Features:             Rectangle: By clicking on rectangle tool user can draw rectangle Ellipse: By clicking on ellipse tool user can draw ellipse . Line: By clicking on the line tool user can draw line. Pen: Pen is like a free hand tool. User can draw anything usingPen. Selection: Click on selection tool to select the desired shape or picture. Erase By Brush: User can erase as desired. Clear all: By clicking this user can clear the whole page. Erase By Stroke: User can erase the selected shape or picture. Color: User can add different color to the picture. Stamper: This tool enables you to emphasize on any given point or text. Text Tool: User can draw the textbox from the text tool Marker: User can mark any shape or picture by using this facility Drag the White Board from the modules widget. It will be displayed in the main window. User can see the added buddies from buddy list button. You can set size of the font from the first option of the white board widget. Using this tag user can set particular font size Click on Rectangle to draw rectangle on the white board. You can draw the rectangle as you want. Click on Ellipse button to draw ellipse. Click on Line button to draw the line. Click on Selection button to select any area of white board. Click on Erase by brush to erase desired area using brush from the white board. Click on pen to write or draw something manually on the whiteboard.   Click on erase button to erase something from the whiteboard. User can erase the picture or its part particular stroke wise. Click on Clear button to clear the whole white Board.    User can use the Color button to fill the color in any geometrical shape or any drawn picture. When User clicks on the Color button it will display the color window. User can select desired color from that window. User can select the custom color by clicking on the Define custom button  Click on Define custom color button to set the custom color. Click on Ok button to set the color. Click on cancel button to cancel the close. Click on Add to Custom Colors to add custom color to the Custom Color pane.  After changing the default color from black to violet whenever you draw any shape it will have the selected color i.e. violet. User can select the Stamper button and place it on the desired shape or picture on the whiteboard. The stamper enables you to emphasize on any given point or text User selects the Text tool to write text on the white board. User can use Marker button to make mark on the content of the whiteboard. Video Widget Video Widget is used to make a simple video conferencing between more than two people. Besides the visual transmission of people images, videoconferencing can be used to share documents, computer-displayed information, and whiteboards. A live conversation is achieved. Features  User can enlarge the screen with the help of the full screen option.  With the full screen option new popup window will open containing the video with enlarged size.  User can also remove full screen using the Cancel option.  With the cancel option window containing the full screen video will be closed. How to Use 1. After being logged in, user has to drag the video widget from the left pane of the main window to central working area. For working with video widget, user should have web camera for capturing the user’s video that would be a part of video collaborative conference. The following image refers to this step. 2. Drag buddies from buddy list to the video widget for participating in the video conferencing. Videos of dragged buddies participating in video conference appear in video pod. The following image refers to this step. 3. User can maximize the size of videos of particular participants by clicking on the full screen option from the drop down list box. The following image refers to this step. Using VMukti 4. The maximized video view of participant is shown below. Users can cancel full size image window by clicking on the cancel option from the drop down Using VMukti list box as shown in figure below. Audio Widget: Audio Widget is used to make a simple conversation between two or more than two people. Using this widget people located in offices, homes, colleges, schools can communicate with one another using audio conferencing. A live collaborative conversation is achieved. Features  User can enlarge the screen with the help of the full screen option.  With the full screen option new popup window will open containing the video with enlarged size.  User can also remove full screen using the Cancel option.  With the cancel option window containing the full screen video will be closed. How to Use 1. After being logged in, user has to drag the audio widget from the left pane of the main window to central working area. For working with audio widget, user should have sound card for capturing the user’s audio that would be a part of audio collaborative conference. The audio widget has the following features: (A) Number Pad (B) Dialup number textbox (C) Call button (D) SIP setting button (E) Call management button (F) User details(Green buddy icon button) D F A B C E  Click on the number pad button and the number pad will be displayed. You will find three buttons on the first row of number pad A – For accepting the call R – For rejecting the call C – For clearing the entered values  Enter the user number through number pad to whom you want to call in the Dialup number textbox located in the title bar.  Enter the number to whom you want to call in the textbox located in the title bar. Press the Green Call button to calL    Press the Green Call button to call If you press on green call button without entering any number in the Dialup number textbox then directly conference will get opened by default   Click on the SIP setting button, a window is displayed with three buttons ADD, OK, CANCEL Press ADD button, window will gets appeared having three text fields.  Press ADD button, window will gets appeared having three text fields Enter SIP username Enter the SIP password Enter the IP of the system where the SIP server is running SIP Username: SIP Password: SIP Domain: Click on the Save button to store the details You will find that the entered SIP Domain address is appeared with the following buttons    Default – To register with particular domain Configure – To edit the entered details Remove – To remove the particular SIP address details    You can also add more Domain IP address details by clicking on the Add button. The other IP address added will have the red color and the default set IP address will have the green color. The saved SIP address details will be displayed whenever you will open the audio module next time.  Click on the call management button, a window is displayed as shown below It has five buttons in the first row Transfer: – Enter the number of the user to whom you want to transfer the current running call and click on transfer button for transferring it. DTMF: – Dual tone multi frequency service is provided, you can enter the number in Dialup number textbox and press DTMF button Conf: Hangup: – Hold: Press on the conf button to enter into the conference Press hang-up to end current running call/conference Press hold to put the call on hold and press it again to unhold it It has six buttons in the second row which denotes the six channels i.e. you can talk to six persons simultaneously.         Click on the first channel to make a call. Click on the second channel to make a new call. If you click on the second channel to make a new call, call on the first channel gets on to hold automatically. If you do not select any particular channel and makes a call by entering the user address in the textbox then it will be assigned automatically to next free channel available at that time. If conference is running the 1 channel button gets blue color If conference is on hold the channel button gets brown color If call is activated the channel button gets green color If call is on hold the channel button gets red color Click on the green colored buddy icon, a window will appear it gives information about the channels with respect to three fields. The first channel information is shown as Number: Time: Status: Dialup number The time duration of the call Ready, Connecting, Disconnected, Dialing number depends on the state of dialed number CHAPTER 4 IMPORTING AND EXPORTING This chapter discusses about how to import data into VMukti and how to export data from VMukti to your local machine. IMPORTING/EXPORTING DATA     Make your own 3-Tier WPF User Control Application in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. Make three folder named "Control", "Bal" and "Dal". Put Presentation layer's compiled dll file like App1_Presentation.dll into "Control" named folder. That dll file can be found from bin>Debug of the concerned layer project. Create and put "Configuration.xml" into "Control" folder along with presentation layer's dll file. The "Configuration.xml" file should contain correct information like- (. ). Put Business layer's compiled dll file like App1_Business.dll into "Bal" named folder. That dll file can be found from bin>Debug of the concerned layer project. Put Control layer's compiled dll file like App1_Control.dll into "Bal" named folder along with business layer's dll file. That dll file can be found from bin>Debug of the concerned layer project. Put Data Access layer's compiled dll file like App1_DataAcess.dll into "Dal" named folder. That dll file can be found from bin>Debug of the concerned layer project. Put all three "Control", "Bal" and "Dal" folders into a folder and give the name of your module as desired (this name will identify to your developed extension) and it will appear in the "Modules" section from left pane of the home page of VMukti after successful addition of it into the VMukti system. Compress the "Mod1" folder into "Mod1.zip". Now the "Mod1.zip" can be added in the VMukti system. Now browse the VMukti with provided URL, click Settings on top right, then click "Submit New widget" then click on "Browse", locate your "Mod1.zip" file. Fill the required details in the fields. Click "Save" then click "Done". You will see your own module/extension in the left pane under modules section. Now you can enjoy with your own extension.        Scheduler Widget: The VMukti scheduler is a key part of managing your schedule and upcoming activities. You can select a particular date and create meetings on particular time with respect to the selected date. When you assign a start time and end time for any meeting, they will appear in your VMukti scheduler on the corresponding day. They will also appear on the appropriate day in the calendar of other buddies who are invited for a meeting. You can view the scheduler by day format. How to Use: Click on the scheduler widget in the modules list Click on the Create an event link on the Scheduler home page and enter the details OR Select the date by Clicking on the calendar Select the required time by selecting the rows of timeslots Popup menu will appear where you can enter the purpose or topic for your meeting. Create your meeting’s purpose or title by clicking on the create button Move the mouse over the created meeting, the popup menu will appear with meeting title then click on the Edit event details to enter the details Enter the details What: Purpose or name of the meeting When: Start date, Start time, End date, End time All day: Select the check box if you want to schedule the meeting for all days of week Repeats: Allows you to select the type of repeats you want i.e. reminders to the added guests Where: Enter the place name or its address where the meeting is scheduled Description: Enter the details of the scheduled meetings if required Privacy options: Select the privacy options as desired Add guest: In the Add Guests section, you can add the new user name who are not VMukti users 1. Enter the user name and his emailid and click on the Add user button, the new user name created will be added on the existing users list box 2. Click on the greater than arrow button > to get the users from the existing users list to the invited users list 3. Click on the less than arrow button < to remove the users from the invited users list to the existing users list. 4. Click on the SAVE button to create the meetings and email will be sent to all the user name present on the existing user list box 5. The email to existing VMukti user will have the meeting details. 6. The email to new user will have a auto generated username and password to log into the VMukti along with the meeting details. FEATURES: Edit your meetings:  Move the mouse over the created meeting, the popup menu will appear with meeting title then click on the Edit event details to Edit the details. If you change anything for What, When (Start date, Start time, End date, End time), All day, Repeats, Where, Description, Privacy options fields and also add new users the email will be sent to all the invited users after pressing the SAVE button. If nothing is changed for What, When (Start date, Start time, End date, End time), All day, Repeats, Where, Description, Privacy options fields but new users are added and moved to the invited users list then email will be sent to the newly added users only after pressing the SAVE button.   Delete your meetings: 1. Move the mouse over the created meeting, the popup menu will appear with meeting title then click on the Delete button to delete the meeting. Screen Recorder: It is used to record activities whatever happening on screen. VMukti Feature Weather: The weather feature helps you to view the temperature of particular city. You can view the temperature in two units – Centigrade and Fahrenheit How to use: Browse the VMukti URL: http:// /vmukti Starts downloading the VMukti in the browser Welcome page will gets opened. Weather window gets automatically loaded. Click on the weather selection button located on the right hand top. Select the country and the city to view the temperature of selected combination Feature: Set default city temperature Click on the weather selection button located on the right hand top.
