VMukti mainly consists of core features such as Video conferencing, Audio conferencing, IP Telephony, Desktop sharing, Chat, Whiteboard, Presentation, Scheduler & More. VMukti enables the users to efficiently communicate with each other. A system blends all of the functionality required to collaborate using intuitive and userfrieendl graphical interface. VMukti Client Installation Guide This guide provides detail description with images of VMukti Client installation process. It includes each and every steps of VMukti Client installation process. So if a user has some prerequisites installed already, skip steps for those and look for required prerequisites and VMukti Client installation steps. VMukti Client installation has the following prerequisites • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 If the above prerequisites is not present on your system, VMukti Client installation would ask you to install the prerequisite during its installation. You don’t have to worry about locating the prerequisites, VMukti Client installer automatically redirect to resource locations of prerequisites or guides for finding/installing prerequisites during the installation. If your system has some prerequisite installed already then the installer skips it automatically and proceeds further. 5 | P a g e The following steps are given to install VMukti Client STEP 1 Download VMukti client setup from one of the following links: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=162339 http://code.google.com/p/vmukti/downloads/list http://www.codeplex.com/vmukti/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=8550 http://www.ohloh.net/projects/7230?p=VMukti STEP 2 Extract the downloaded zip file, run client Setup.exe. STEP 3 This installation would ask you to install.NET Framework 3.0/3.5, if your system does not have .Net framework installed. 6 | P a g e STEP 4 Download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Setup from link given below: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/hi-in/netframework/aa569263.aspx Click on “Get the .Net Framework 3.5” link on this page. 7 | P a g e STEP 5 Download the .NET framework by clicking on “Download” button. 8 | P a g e STEP 6 After clicking on “Download”, it will ask you to save or run the dotNetFx35setup.exe. Select the save option and save it. 9 | P a g e STEP 7 Now install the downloaded .Net Framework 3.5 setup by double clicking on dotNetFx35setup.exe 10 | P a g e STEP 8 Accept terms and conditions Click Install to start installation. 11 | P a g e STEP 9 .NET Framework Installation progress STEP 10 Click “Exit” to finish the .Net Framework installation 12 | P a g e STEP 11 After finishing the .Net Framework installation, double click again on VMukti Client setup .exe On first setup wizard click “Next” to precede installation. STEP 14 After VMukti Client installation, get URL from a VMukti server-user (server administrator) for accessing/participating in VMukti collaborative conferencing engine. vmukti , where ServerIP is the IP of the VMukti server. 14 | P a g e STEP 15 Enter the VMukti Server URL in the Web browser’s address bar. The Welcome page appears. Register on the page. Register/Login: • For first time user, enter user-id and password in the specified fields then click on the Register Button. • If you are a registered user enter your user-id and password and press login.
