Hawaii Incentive Project with U.S. Embassy and Korean Air
Hawaii Tourism Korea has been negotiating with the US Embassy in Korea to secure an
expedited visa program for Korean incentive groups traveling to Hawaii. HTK has
finally been able to secure a <Hawaii Incentive Group VISA Program> targeting the
incentive markets in Korea, and applicable only to MICE groups to Hawaii and not to any
other US destinations. This special VISA referral program for Hawaii MICE groups is an
extension of the already successful Aloha honeymoon VISA program which has been having
a major impact on the number of Korean honeymooners visiting Hawaii. Hawaii Tourism
Korea is finalizing the details and preparing to launch the Hawaii Incentive Group Visa
Program with the U.S. Embassy in November. A news release, full page editorials, and
travel trade education seminars on this program will follow. Hawaii Tourism Korea & the
Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau are organizing an incentive planner fam tour with
Korean Air inviting 16 pax including major corporate MICE organizers, incentive agents and
leading business publications from October 30 to November 4 (3 nights on Oahu and 2 nights
on the Big Island).
