The IBMYP Learner Profile
In September 2008, Ecker Hill International Middle School and Treasure Mountain International School became fully authorized International Baccalaureate World Schools o!ering the Middle Years Programme in grades 6"9. Classes at both school campuses incorporate the MYP as an instructional framework of teaching and learning. The MYP curriculum contains eight subject groups together with a core made up of five areas of interaction: approaches to learning, community and service, human ingenuity, environment, and health and social education. Students who choose to pursue the PCSD MYP Certificate need to participate in community service, complete a 9th grade middle years project and enroll every year in all eight subject areas: Language A# Language B # Humanities # Science#! # ! # # # Art# ! # ! # # # Math Technology P.E/Health

Beginning in the 2008"2009 school year, the Park City School District would like all 9th graders to have the opportunity to earn the PCSD Middle Years Programme Certificate. To meet this goal, we o!er four levels of certificates: Gold, Silver, Bronze and a Modified MYP Completion Certificate. Students must meet the minimum requirements for all five assessments of each certificate level to receive that certificate. Subject area coursework must be completed on campus at either EHIMS or TMIS.
M Y P G O L D C E R T I F I C AT E The Gold Certificate Level is the most academically rigorous, recognizing students who contribute to our local community through significant community service experience, consistently excel in the 8 IBMYP subject areas, truly exemplify the characteristics of the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile, and earn the highest evaluations on their Middle Years Programme 9th Grade Project. The Silver Certificate Level acknowledges the high level of achievement accomplished by the student in the MYP 9th Grade Project, their commitment to community service, a strong performance in the 8 IBMYP academic subject areas and the outstanding Learner Profile characteristics they demonstrate while a student in grades 6-9 at PCSD. The Bronze Certificate Level recognizes the achievements of students who may not have attended all four years of the Middle Years Programme at PCSD or did not participate each year yet in grade 8/9 still demonstrate significant progress towards the goals of the IBMYP by successfully completing an MYP 9th Grade Project, participating in community service, and earning satisfactory assessments in the 8 IBMYP subject areas.

MYP MODIFIED COMPLETION C E R T I F I C AT E
The MYP Modified Completion Certificate is offered to those students who, due to enrollment in courses as a part of their Individualized Education Plan, Language Plan or other school-directed specialized coursework, are unable to enroll in all of the 8 MYP Subject Areas while attending grade 6-9 in the Park City School District. Certificate Assessment Requirements and Criteria may be altered to meet necessary accommodations for that student.
