Nanoscience at ASU On behalf of the Department of Physics, and the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, I’d like to thank you for your interest in the Professional Science Masters (PSM) program at Arizona State University. Nanoscience is a transdisciplinary subject spanning physics, chemistry and biochemistry, materials and electrical engineering. It concerns the properties of atomic and molecular assemblies (composed of tens, hundreds, or thousands of atoms) under an extraordinarily wide range of conditions and geometries. Why a degree in nanoscience? Nanoscience is a prime target of both federal funding and high-tech industrial investment.
