Hans Blink and Paul ter Linden appointed to the board
of Athlon Car Lease International B.V.

Upon the takeover of Athlon Car Lease International by De Lage Landen, a member of the
Rabobank Groep, in July 2006, the board of Athlon was instructed to create conditions that will
enable the leased car activity of De Lage Landen to become the most customer-oriented car lease
company in Europe. Both De Lage Landen and the board of Athlon Care Lease International are
of the opinion that this instruction has been fulfilled. In view of the above and in accordance with
the arrangements made, the Group Board of De Lage Landen and the Board of Athlon Car Lease
International B.V. have decided that Norbert van den Eijnden (chairman), Jan Slootweg (CFO)
and Roel Vermaat (responsible for the countries) will stand down with effect from 1 June 2007.
CEO Karel Schellens: “The group board of De Lage Landen would like to thank the members of
the board who are standing down for their contribution to the growth of the leased car activity.
We are very happy that we have been able to agree with Jan Slootweg that he will continue to be
attached to Athlon for a period of seven months at most in order to guarantee a smooth
transition and to complete a few projects for us.”
Hans Blink (chairman) and Paul ter Linden have been appointed to the board of Athlon Car Lease
International B.V. with effect from 1 June 2007.
Hans Blink (52), who has been the General Manager of Athlon Car Lease Nederland since 2002,
has many years of experience in the automotive sector, among other things as (co-) founder and
general manager of the Hiltermann Groep. After the Hiltermann Groep was sold to Athlon in
1999, Hans held various senior management positions at Athlon.
Paul ter Linden (39) has worked at McKinsey & Company since 1992, where he was appointed
Partner of the Amsterdam office in 2002. He has many years of experience in the area of strategy
and organisation issues in the financial sector.
Under the management of the new board of Athlon Car Lease, the car lease activity of De Lage
Landen Groep enters a new phase. The theme of this phase will be a maximum use of the options
for synergy with the other activities of De Lage Landen Groep, where new commercial
opportunities, international expansion and benefits of scale will form the most important
proceeds. By offering total solutions to its customers, Athlon wants to live up to its ambition of
becoming the most customer-friendly care lease company in Europe and to achieve a leading
position in the European car lease market.
