Event Name:           SEC/Big East Invitational

Event Description: The Nashville Sports Council is proud to partner with ESPN Regional
Television to host the 2008 SEC/BIG EAST Invitational, Dec. 16, at the Sommet Center. This
event is a double-header featuring Vanderbilt University vs. the University of South Florida (6
p.m. CST) and the University of Tennessee vs. Marquette (8:30 p.m. CST). Corporate ticket
packages are available for both games at the Sommet Center. Packages include exposure
benefits. The SEC/BIG EAST Invitational is an incredible event to gain exposure for your
company and/or reward your customers, employees and/or VIP’s.




Event Name:           Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl

Event Description: Nashville’s Holiday Tradition, the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl is the
annual post-season college football bowl game featuring teams from two of the best football
conferences in America - the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and the Southeastern Conference
(SEC). The Bowl has turned one of Nashville’s slowest tourism weeks into one of the busiest

than 146,000 hotel room nights in its 10-year history. In addition, more than 46 million viewers
and loyal college football fans have tuned in and watched the Bowl on ESPN’s national television
broadcast. There are several unique opportunities for your company to receive national,
regional, and local exposure along with great hospitality amenities through this event, including
our Bowl week special events such as the Welcome Party, Coaches Luncheon, MusicFest &

Event Description: The O’Charley’s Dinner of Champions is Nashville’s premier sports
awards event. The evening kicks with a silent auction filled with both great sports memorabilia
and other wonderful opportunities. The Nashville Sports Council also awards college
scholarships to one deserving male and female high school senior. Event sponsorships are
available and there are two corporate table sponsorship opportunities available for you to
entertain clients, co-workers, customers, friends and family. Each package has varying benefits
and offers you and your guests a unique and memorable experience. Customized sponsorship
opportunities are also available for this event.

Event Name:           Comcast Spotlight Sports Speaker Series
Date:                 Events throughout the NSC fiscal year (July 1-June 30)
Location:             Various

Event Description: The Comcast Spotlight Sports Speaker Series is the primary membership
event activity for the Nashville Sports Council. Speaker series events are held at various
locations around the Nashville area throughout the Sports Council’s fiscal year. The series
includes the Annual Tennessee Titans Kickoff Luncheon and the Annual Nashville Predators
Faceoff Luncheon. Past guests speakers include Pat Summitt, Bobby Johnson, Pat Summerall,
Phillip Fulmer, Gaylord Perry, Tony LaRussa, Dale Murphy, and Jim Kelly, just to name a few.
These evens provide a unique networking opportunity with the corporate and individual
membership of the Sports Council as well as business decision-makers. These events are open to
the general public. There are several unique opportunities available at each event including the
presenting sponsorship of an event.

Event Name:           NSC Member Nights

Event Description: The Nashville Sports Council hosts a variety of membership nights
throughout the fiscal year. Your company’s sponsorship investment would assist in
underwriting all costs associated with the event and provide your company with some exposure
through the membership program, which consist of hundreds of individual members and nearly
200 corporate members. Past member nights with organizations such as the Nashville Predators,
Nashville Sounds and Vanderbilt University athletics have included a pre-game hospitality and
guest speaker appearances from a coach or member of the team’s administrative staff. These
events are a lot of fun and are a great family atmosphere.




Event Name:           Nashville Sports Council’s Good Sports Program

Location:             Middle Tennessee Region

Program Description: The Nashville Sports Council’s legacy initiative, the Good Sports
Program was created in 2006 to establish a focus on our community’s youth through sports.
Education, participation, volunteerism, health/wellness and themes like sportsmanship and
leadership are part of the Good Sports Program initiative. Various youth elements are
incorporated into each Nashville Sports Council event and need corporate underwriting for their
success. Good Sports Program activities have included a donation of basketballs to Nashville area
middle schools, an opportunity for high school journalism students to cover a collegiate
basketball game between Tennessee and Oklahoma State, and thousands of area youth which
annually participate in the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl’s Youth Football Program. In
addition, through the Good Sports Program, annual funding support for amateur athletes via the
Comcast Spotlight Champion Award and college scholarships for deserving High School
students during the O’Charley’s Dinner of Champions are provided. Companies can make
donations to the program (a 501 (c)3 non-profit) or can become involved in various unique
underwriting and sponsorship opportunities during each Nashville Sports Council event. In
addition, thousands of dollars are annually provided to amateur athletes and/or amateur athletic
organizations through this program.
