NV Blanc de Noirs, Brut. Cepage: 100% Pinot Noir
(in this southern Aube part of Champagne Pinot Noir is by far the most widely
grown grape, I have been told by one grower that the reason is they are
susceptible to late frosts down here and Pinot Noir copes better than
tasting: delicious all Pinot Noir Champagne. Abundant mousse and golden
colour. With plenty of weight and round strawberry fruit but balanced by a crisp
Herard have around 10 hectares of their own vineyards which caters for most of
their needs, they then buy in fruit from other quality growers in the same area
they have long established relationships with.

Paul Herard are individual growers whose principal production is a Blanc de
Noirs Champagne made entirely from pinot noir in the Aube region south of
Troyes. The wine is round and full without being heavy and has remained
wonderfully consistent over throughout our association with them which began in
Tom Stevenson - Christies 'World Encyclopedia of Champagne and Sparkling
