For the therapeutic recreation profession, the need to reflect on, evaluate, and advance the educational system that is responsible for preparing competent practitioners is critical to our future. Topics may include but are not limited to the following: * Issues related to accreditation, credentialing, and or recognition * Leadership, professional development and professional learning communities * Placement, performance, and retention * Competencies * Curriculum, * Pedagogy or innovative teaching * Influences of Technology on teaching and learning, as well as, on practice * Learners, learner characteristics, and/or learning styles * Issues of diversity and/or globalization * Practical or applied experiences * Service learning and or civic engagement * Applied or theoretical research including personal narratives and case histories The deadline for submission is September 1 , 2009.
