"I am thrilled to announce that NAHO will be the first national Aboriginal organization to employ three First Nations Ph.D.s. This is extraordinary! Of the NAHO staff, we will now have 42 per cent with graduate degrees (masters and doctorates); of these 39 per cent are Aboriginal. With the addition of these gifted and experienced professionals, NAHO will continue to grow as a national body leading Aboriginal knowledge translation and research in health." Dr. [Paulette C. Tremblay] goes on to say, "Leading the team will be the new Director of NAHO's First Nations Centre, Earl Nowgesic. NAHO is extending a warm welcome to Dr. [Raymond Obomsawin, Ph.D.], Senior Research Officer, Dr. [Dawn Marsden, Ph.D.] and [Meredith Porter, B.A.]. They will begin their new positions at NAHO in September 2008."
