The Society for Health Systems now offers a series of seminars that provides a practical education in Industrial Engineering tools and management skills as they can be applied to health care performance improvement for maximum effect. The two- and three-day seminars have been developed and taught by management engineers and performance improvement specialists, allowing for training that is directly applicable to attendees' daily work. The offered health care courses in the series include: 1. Acute Care Labor Management Concepts, 2. Introduction to the Application of Industrial Engineering in Health Care, 3. Lean Six Sigma in Health Care and Administration, 4. Project Management and Analytics: The Management Engineer's Toolkit, and 5. Patient Access and Flow through the Acute Care Hospital.
