EMPOWERMENT TOOL: "Email. During the summer, camps start at 9 a.m., so I can check emails and return calls before I drop the kids off and go to work. But the bad port is, it's with you everywhere and you have to kind of avoid the crockberry syndrome. Like, okay, I'm here to support my child at a cross country meet, and I really can put this away... There's no huge emergency that's going to happen that can't wait for 30 minutes."HER ADVICE: "Don't stick with a bad choice. Figure out what you need for the next time. We spend half our time here (at work) and if it's not a good fit, move on. But don't burn the bridge."
