Recommendations of the researchers participating in this study include the following: * ADN programs should require a minimum of a three-credit online course for all ADN students so graduates will be comfortable with the online environment. * Seamless articulation agreements need to be developed between ADN and BSN programs. * Round-the-clock technical support needs to be available for all students taking online courses. * Formal orientation programs for ADN transfer students should be established at all transfer institutions. * Financial aid needs to be offered specifically for ADN graduates, who may have exhausted financial aid resources. * In New York, State University of New York colleges that lack an upper-division BSN nursing curriculum should consider establishing such a program.
