Former IMA chair Larry R. White has been named executive director of the newly created Resource Consumption Accounting (RCA) Institute. The RCA Institute is committed to ensuring that RCA follows fundamental principles of management accounting to create information for management decisions to support enterprise optimization in a disciplined manner, with qualified practitioners, and with verifiable results by adopters. The objectives of the RCA Institute are to: 1. Improve management accounting knowledge and practice by clarifying and embracing sound principles that will enhance enterprise decision making and the public welfare through optimum resource usage. 2. Advance the knowledge and practice of RCA through a community of active, high-quality practitioners and academics.
