SPECIAL JOURNAL ISSUES

Guest editor Fabrice Fitch contributes to the volume with an article discussing his compositional work on Agricologies, a cycle in two books for viol consort and string quartet, commissioned by and written for the Londonbased ensembles Fretwork and the Kreutzer String Quartet, which investigates the practice of borrowed material and takes as its basis the work of the composer Alexander Agricola. Beginning with an article that outlines key issues in the study of musical performance in diasporic contexts the volume goes on to present a number of case studies. Vol. 9, no. 2 ( July 2007): Proceedings from the International Conference on Music Education, Equity, and Social Justice, held at the Teachers College of Columbia University, New York, on 6-8 October 2006.
