					Regular Science Energy Brochure

You are an energy sales team with the State of Texas as your sales area.
Your boss has assigned you the task of writing and preparing the new brochure that you
will use to provide information for your company.

You must present your energy in a positive way using facts about the energy type.
The finished product is a 3- fold illustrated brochure.
The following information must be included:
   1. An explanation of the energy and how it is used to produce electricity.
   2. A map showing the locations where it is available in the US or in Texas (with a
       color key)
   3. Advantages and disadvantages of using the energy type
   4. pictures
   5. A graph showing the energy use at the present time

   6. The environmental impact (what effect does it have on the environment).



Day 1-
           1. Work with a partner to gather important facts about your energy. Prepare
              note cards of important information using your own words.

           2. Locate graphs and illustrations to use in your brochure.
           3. Include the address of 3 web sites that you found to be the most helpful on
              the back of your brochure.

Day 2- Switch jobs and work on the same tasks as day one
          1. Finish research.
Day 3- Work together with your partner to find last details

Day 4- Do not use a computer
          2. Select the information that you would like to use. Create a rough layout of
              the information. Work with your partner to create and revise the written
              part of the brochure. Spelling counts!

Day 5- Find any missing information
Day 6-7
          1. Use Micro soft publisher or Microsoft word to create your brochure.
          2. 12 point type
          3. Finish and type brochure to create final product
          4. Edit brochure to fit in space available.
          5. Include the address of 3 web sites that you found to be the most helpful on
              the back of your brochure.
