I.   AUTHORITY;
  A. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Production and
Logistics) Memorandum of December 23, 1991, Subject; Assignment of Additional
Mission.
  B. DLA-L letter, dated 31 August 1992 » subject: Assignment of Additional
Mission.
II. Pursuant to cited authority and effective I September 1992 , the
Directorate of Industrial Analysis Support (DCMOM-M), is established as an
organizational element of the Defense Contract Management District
Mid-Atlantic (DCMDM).
III. DCMDM-H is established to assess the military services' and Strategic
Defense Initiative Organization major weapons acquisition programs through
manufacturing, engineering and industrial base analysis. Department of Defense
programs are analyzed to determine manufacturing facility and resource
requirements. The Industrial base is to be evaluated to determine its ability
to support current and projected weapon system programs and to identify
problem areas and actions required to resolve these issues. DCMDM-N supports
the acquisition process with the assessment of weapons system and equipment
production plans and analysis relative to industrial capabilities and
performances.
