					The „floor plan‟ add-on for pos-soft has 2 principal operation modes:
The sales mode makes it possible to visualize the tables in a graphic manners, with all the
functionalities present in pos-soft table‟s list.
The edition mode where it is possible to create, configure and modify the floor plan. This mode
enables you to build the floor plan corresponding to your needs.

The sales mode
The sales mode works exactly on the same principle as the list of the tables in pos-soft, but in a
graphic way. Therefore, you can find in the higher part of the screen the buttons allowing you to reach
the same functionalities.

To select a table, just click on it. The selected current table appears framed in white and black. It is
possible the table you‟re looking for is in a zone which is not currently on the screen. You can move in
the floor plan by choosing the desired area in the mini-map (in the lower-right corner) or by clicking
and dragging the mouse‟s button.
When a table is selected (thus it appears framed in white and black) you can see on the right part of
the screen information relative to this table. Notice that just below, there is information concerning the
point of sale and current place of sale, as well as the user and the menu in progress.

According to order status ("take order", "on duty", "take money"), the table will be highlighted in a
different color. You can find in bottom of the screen a legend which points out this code color.

Table colors legend:
In gray: the tables which are not opened
In green: tables in state "take order"
In yellow: tables in state "on duty" In red: tables in state "take money"
In blue: tables in "reserved" state (available soon)

Once the table is selected, just use the buttons located in the high part for all the functions in the
table‟s list
The edition mode
This mode enables you to create and change the floor plan. To enter the edition mode, click on the
“edit” button, then you‟ll reach a this interface:

If your screen resolution is set to 800x600, the mini-map will not appear in edition mode.
Indeed, in this resolution, the used area is not sufficient. Therefore, to work comfortably you‟ll need to
adjust the resolution.

You will find in the right higher part of the screen, information concerning the name of the current floor
plan, as well as the point of sale and place of sale. And also, just below, the list of the graphic blocks
to be used in the floor plan. Those are indexed in 3 categories: Backgrounds, Decoration and Tables.

The category "backgrounds" includes all the blocks intended to form the bottom of screen. Mainly
blocks representing of the grounds (pavement, parquet floor...) are found there. You will be able to
pose on these background blocks the elements of decorations or the tables.
The category "Decoration" includes all the blocks which occupy a volume. It will be impossible to place
a block of the type "Decoration" or "Table" if a block of the type "Decoration" occupies already the
place. You will thus find in this list, the elements representing the walls, the plants, the pieces of
furniture... Thus for example, when a piece of furniture was placed, it will be impossible to position a
plant at the same place.
The category "Table" includes all the blocks representing a table. As for the category "Decoration", a
table occupies a volume and thus can be at the same place only single table or a single element of
decoration.
You can change the current category of the list while clicking on one of the mitres "backgrounds",
"Decoration" or "Tables".

Here is the procedure to be followed to position a new block in the floor plan :
First of all, click on the mitre corresponding to the type of block to obtain the desired graphic list. Then
click on the chosen block, and while keeping the mouse‟s button clicked, move the mouse.

Once the object is positioned at the desired place, free the button. The block is then inserted in the
floor plan into this place. Before that, the system checks if space necessary to the block is free. It is
not possible for example to place a plant at the same place as a table.

However, when you place a block of background, a dialog box will appear:
The normal mode corresponds to the operating mode described previously. I.e. the block is placed
normally in the floor plan.
The repeated mode will replace all the blocks of the Fond types. That will duplicate the block as well
horizontally as vertically. Therefore, a mosaic will be made up of the selected block.

The exten mode also will replace him all the blocks of the Fond types, but in a different way. It will
stretch the selected block so that it covers the totality of the plan of table.
Description of the various functions available:
In the edition mode, you have access to displacement inside the floor plan. Either by mini-map
(resolution of screen higher than 800 X 600), or while clicking inside the floor plan and by moving the
mouse by keeping the button pressed. You will see that according to the selected function this mode
will not be always operational.

The MOVE button: When one clicks on the Move button, the heading of the icon is posted in

position the mouse with the top of the block to be moved, to click on the left button, to move the mouse
by maintaining the button supported, then to slacken the button at the desired place. The system
checks if the new site allows the assignment of the block. In the contrary case, the block is
repositioned on its original spot. Once Move carried out, the system remains in this mode of
displacement of block. you can choose and modify the positioning of another block. To leave the
MOVE mode, click on it again.

The COPY button: The COPY button works in a similar way to the MOVE button. One click
duplicates the block instead of moving it. Once copy carried out, the system passes automatically in
MOVE mode.

green. The block is now in resizing mode. Position the mouse on the block with resize, and by
maintaining the mouse button pressed and move the mouse. Moving towards the line will widen the
block, whereas towards the left will narrow it. In the same way downwards will increase in height the
block, and a displacement to the top decreasing it. Once the desired size reached, just release the
mouse button.
The ROTATION button: To turn a graphic block, it is initially advisable to select it. Then click
on the Rotation button. The block carries out a rotation of 90° clockwise. you can repeat the operation
to obtain the desired orientation.

The DELETE button: Once the block to be deleted is selected, click on the Remove button.
The block is then removed from the floor plan.

The TEXT ZONE button: The goal here is to define a text which will be posted in the floor
plan. That allows for example, indicating comments (for example: terrace, reception...). Initially, select
a block in the floor plan, defining the area to place the text. It is possible to thereafter reposition it by

The Point Of Sale button:
While clicking on this button, a new interface opens enables you to
assign each point of sale/place of sale a floor plan.
By using the buttons "", one moves between the points of sale. Then for each Place of sale, while
clicking on the arrow to the bottom, a list of the floor plans already created will be revealed. Thus you
can select the desired floor plan (according to the same principle as the assignment of the charts in
pos-soft).

If you leave the edition mode, while having opened a floor plan which is not currently affected to a
point of sale/place of sale, the system will propose to affect it automatically.

            The RESIZE MAP button:
enables to change the size of a floor plan. Attention, if one decreases the size of an existing plan of
table, check that no element (table, plant...) is in the zone which will disappear. In the contrary case, a
message will warn the user.

Help with the creation of your foreground of table:
We will explain the various stages to easily create a foreground of table. It is first necessary to go in
the floor plan in sale mode (as in the image below)
Then we will pass to the edition mode, while clicking on the button of the same name representing a
bunch of keys. Following posting is thus obtained:

We then will pass to the management mode, while clicking on the button located in top on the right of
the screen.
Then click on the "New" button. a dialogue box is opened, asking for the size of the desire floor plan.

Click on "OK" to validate. The program asks you to name the floor plan you have just created. A floor
empty of table is then obtained.
You can leave the management mode by clicking on EXIT button represented by a green
door.
You‟re now in edition mode, and you can edit the various graphic blocks. It is often more practical to
start by placing the blocks of the background floor. You can use the modes "repeated" or "stretched"
to go faster.

Once done with the floor you can start placing the tables accurate to your restaurant.
You can also places the all the blocks of "Decoration" (mainly blocks allowing to define the walls,
partitions). You‟ll then obtain the floor plan according to:

It then remains to place the tables, to assign a name and a number of cover per default to each one.
You can then finalize the floor plan by adding elements of decoration.
The last stage consists in assigning the floor plan to a point of sale/place of sale. To be done it is
necessary to go in the management mode and to click on the button "place".

                                                                                               -
