CT CONSULTANT AABB DIVISION OF CONSULTING SERVICES
AABB is an international association representing individuals and institutions involved in activities related to transfusion and cellular therapies, including transplantation medicine. We are seeking a Cellular Therapy Consultant to provide consulting services directly to our clients. Essential Duties: • Administers consulting operations policies and procedures. • Provides consulting services directly to clients 80-90% of the time. • Develops consulting operations materials, including presentations and training materials. • Responsible for the maintenance and compilation of consulting reports, records and files. • Works with the division Director to find new business opportunities for the division. • Performs job duties within the budget of Consulting Services division. • Performs work on grant projects or other AABB initiatives as time allows and with approval of the Division Director. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related discipline, MT(ASCP)SBB or equivalent preferred. • Minimum of ten years progressive experience relating to transfusion medicine and /or related biologic therapies. A minimum of five years experience in quality and compliance activities. A combination of blood center, hospital blood bank/transfusion medicine, with additional cellular therapy. Tissue, and/or cord cell experience is required. Must be experienced with AABB quality systems, FACT and FDA regulations and guidelines. • Strong knowledge of all blood bank/transfusion medicine/cellular therapy, cord cell, tissue processes and procedures. • Strong knowledge of quality management systems; ability to implement; and train quality system(s). • Knowledgeable of federal, state, and international regulatory issues as related to blood bank/transfusion, medicine, cellular therapy, cord cell, tissue and related biologic therapies. • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Effective interpersonal skills with all level of staff. • Professional manner with service oriented attitude. • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, and make frequent national and international business trips for short or extended periods of time.
