New for 2007: Krone’s Triple Disc Mower Combination unit, EasyCut 9140 with anti-collision technology Spelle, September 2006 – Just in time for the 2007 season, Krone has a new Triple Disc Mower Combination EasyCut 9140 model with anti-collision technology. Thanks to the innovative design of the Triple Combination, the EasyCut 9140 is currently the lightest Triple Disc mowing system on the market. As standard equipment, KRONE will fit this new anti-collision technology to all Triple combinations. The EasyCut 9140 will replace the EasyCut 9000 models, they are available in three different models: without Conditioner, with Steel Tine Conditioner and with Merger/grouper belts. Just as the previous model, the working width is 8.70 metres it has a large overlap from the front to rear mower of 38cm, which eliminates stripping when turning corners. Due to the innovative suspension of the rear mowing combination, the entire mowing unit is pivoted when the anti-collision system is activated, and not the individual mowing unit, as the case with other systems. For the new anti-collision system from KRONE discards with complicated and complex break-away mechanisms for the mowing units. The total weight of the rear mowing units still remains low, and therefore so is the power requirement to drive them and hence it saves fuel too. Advantage of the KRONE triple mowing combinations with (front and rear mowers): During road transport, the tractor axle loads are not exceed; during work in the field, the turf is protected thanks to the low ground pressure on the Cutterbars. Taking the safety aspect into account, the EasyCut 9140 has a clear advantage as the rear mower sections can pivot a distance of 1.40 m, thus offering maximum effective safety. The anti-collision device works over a mechanical system for maximum strength. When coming into contact with a obstacle it pivots away from it, then afterwards it swivels back into its normal working position. An additional advantage of the KRONE anti-collision device: The trip mechanism of the EasyCut 9140 is fully variable and can be easily set via a springs.
