Introduction
If you have installed Microsoft® Office SharePoint Services 2007 (MOSS 2007) and you
want to publish a scorecard that you created in Business Scorecard Manager Server 2005,
you must perform some additional steps. These steps are described in this white paper
about the Microsoft® Office Business Scorecard Manager Server 2005 Compatibility
Release, which supports the ability to publish scorecards to MOSS 2007. The following
       topics are included:
              ● Before you install the Compatibility Release
              ● Installing Business Scorecard Manager 2005 Compatibility Release
              ● Publishing a sample scorecard to MOSS 2007

Before you install the Compatibility Release
Before you install Business Scorecard Manager 2005 on a machine that has Microsoft Office
SharePoint Services 2007 (MOSS 2007) or Windows SharePoint Services 2007 (WSS
       2007), please do the following:
 Confirm that the application pool under which you plan to run BSM Web services is
not running any .NET Framework 2.0 sites. If the application pool is running a
.NET 2.0 site, a process conflict will occur and neither site will work.
 Verify that the selected application pool has administrator permissions to start the
Web service, and permission to access the data sources.
 Verify that the SharePoint site where you want to install the Web Parts during
installation is an Extended SharePoint site. If it is not, you must exit the installation
and extend it. See Microsoft TechNet article “Create or extend a Web application”
               (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=80405) for instructions.

Deploying a Scorecard to MOSS 2007
This section describes the procedure for deploying a new or existing Scorecard to
MOSS 2007. To publish a Scorecard to a MOSS 2007 site, you must first create and publish
the scorecard from Microsoft Office Scorecard Builder.
Deploying a Scorecard to a MOSS 2007 site requires additional steps; these steps are
detailed in this white paper. Briefly they are:
 Install Microsoft® Office Business Scorecard Manager Server 2005 Compatibility
                  Release.
 Create and publish a scorecard from Microsoft Office Scorecard Builder.
 Create a new Web Part Page in SharePoint 2007.
 Edit and place Scorecard or Report Views on a page.
    1. From within Microsoft Office Scorecard Builder, create and publish a scorecard.
    2. Launch a new IE session, going to the SharePoint extended Web site that you specified
            during installation.
    3. In the upper right side of the screen, click Site Actions and then select Create. A new page
            will appear.
