Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences Announces a Special Issue on Selected Papers from INISTA 2010: International Symposium on Innovations in Intelligent Systems and Applications. This special issue, scheduled to be published in 2011, will contain selected papers from INISTA 2010, International Symposium on Innovations in Intelligent Systems and Applications, which will be held in Kayseri from 21 to 24 June 2010. INISTA 2010 will be organized by Erciyes University (Kayseri) in cooperation with Melikşah University (Kayseri) and Yıldız Technical University (İstanbul). The scientific program will be held in Kayseri, a modern city located at the skirts of Mount Erciyes in the heart of central Anatolia with a rich history dating back to some 6000 years ago. The social program will be held in Cappadocia, one of the most popular and unique tourist destinations in Turkey with its fascinating underground cities, numerous historical cave churches and amazing "fairy chimneys". The symposium website may be found at http://www.inista.org. The symposium aims to bring together the researchers from the entire spectrum of the multi-disciplinary fields of intelligent systems and establish effective means of communication between them. The symposium will accept special session and tutorial proposals on hot topics within its scope. The symposium is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE and will also apply for support from TÜBİTAK. All papers accepted and presented in the symposium will be published in ISBN numbered symposium proceedings. The language of the symposium is English. The topics for the symposium include, but are not limited to, innovations in theory and applications of Intelligent Systems covering Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, Hybrid Intelligent Systems, Knowledge-Based Systems, Evolutionary Computing, Expert Systems, Evolutionary Algorithms, Machine Learning, Smart Electronic Systems and applications of these methodologies in the following key areas: Artificial Intelligence Human-Computer Interaction Intelligent Control Systems Artificial Neural Networks Intelligent Agents Intelligent Defense/Security Bioinformatics Intelligent Applications in Systems Data Mining Biomedical Engineering Intelligent Life Evolutionary Computations Intelligent Approaches in Robotic Machine Learning Expert Systems and Automation Memetic Computing Fuzzy Logic Intelligent Approaches in Signal Natural Language Processing Genetics Algorithms and Image Processing Partical Swarms Hardware Implementations for Intelligent Approaches in System Smart Sensors and Materials Intelligent Systems Identification/Modeling Other topics related with Intelligent Systems Submission of papers INISTA 2010 papers selected from those included in the symposium technical program will be published in a special issue of Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. The authors of the selected papers suitable to the scope of the journal will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers. All extended papers will go through another round of review.
