   State of Connecticut Bond Table
   CORE-CT Project

Item Overview:
The U.S. Savings Bond Table page identifies specific bond types that employees can purchase through
payroll deductions; it also helps control bond purchasing within PeopleSoft Payroll. The table helps
identify the bond denomination being purchased and the purchase amount. The system uses this table to
edit employee bond specifications and to process bonds during Pay Confirmation.

BOND_TBL Bond Table This record is used to identify specific bond
types that employees can purchase through
payroll deductions. It also helps control bond
                                                           purchasing within PS Payroll.

Approach:
Define bond deduction criteria for U.S. savings bonds, and control bond purchasing within PeopleSoft
Payroll. Currently, the State of Connecticut only offers the EE series to State employees for payroll
deduction. Although PeopleSoft delivers the series I bond with the appropriate denominations, the State
of Connecticut will not be using them by the “go live” date. All I bond denominations will be set to an
“inactive” status. The State of Connecticut will be using the I bond series at a later, undetermined date.
The Savings Bond Payroll Signup form will stay the same to capture the active denomination values for
the EE series (currently offered: 100, 200, 500, 1000). The State will not use the 5000 and 10000 EE
series bond denominations.

Information Source:
 All of the information from this table will be maintained by the Comptrollers Office, Payroll
      Services.
