According to the release, Weiss received the award for her dissertation that examines how chief information officers in institutions of higher education can best use academic evidence to ensure that the benefits of technology are fully realized. Previously, she was a software trainer and project manager at Sirsi Corp. The Library Research Round Table (LRRT) of ALA announced that two teams, led by Grace A. Ajuwon and Prince B. Olorunsaye, from the E. Latunde Odeku Medical Library of the College of Medicine at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, are the winners of the 2008 Ingenta Research Award.
