In the wake of the recent Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development report about which training methods are most effective there were a lot of headlines floating around about the effectiveness of e-learning being in doubt. Presented is a top ten list for creating effective e-learning. These are: 1. Get the message right 2. Once you have your key messages, map out how you are going to evaluate the learning. 3. When you start designing your learning, and you write some content, read it out loud. 4. Start with content, not design. 5. Proof it properly. 6. Establish your interface early and stick to it. 7. Make sure your users can track their way back to the start without difficulty. 8. Introduce sections properly and summarize regularly. 9. Have an objective. 10. Don't be afraid to point out where you disagree.
