Several executives shared their views on how their company or client is using social media for employee communication. Telstra Corp senior media relations manager Jeremy Mitchell said at Telstra, they are using new media tools as a means of having greater control over their message. As more Web 2.0 opportunities arise, they will continue to invest in social media. Hill & Knowlton managing director David Ferrabee said they set up an external/internal blogging platform almost three years ago. It has been successful internally for sharing ideas and creating networks. They use wikis to track key business indicators and update their management information before each weekly team meeting.
