Ken Guido is bullish when many others, particularly in the US, are taking a more defensive, cautious approach. As president of Pwrco, Castlegar, British Columbia, his optimism is evidenced in the company's amalgamation and expansion to seven locations in southern British Columbia in the past four years. Guido is a graduate electrical engineer whose professional experience has focused largely on variable-frequency design system and high-currency d-c systems. The growth of the business would seem to reflect both his curiosity and his vision. Recent projects that typify the company's work are: the city of Castlegar's sewage treatment plant; the city of Richmond Garden Pump; the Iqaluit 12.6 MW Main Power Station; and the City of Grand Forks Scada System.
