The jury is out on whether they're heading for a real recession, but what most economic commentators do seem to agree on is that tougher times are on their way. More than ever, in order to survive good business practice dictates that organizations choose their customers carefully, based on insight about their risk profile, how promptly they pay and, for small businesses, by gaining a better understanding of the people behind the business. Going forward, developing scoring models for different market sectors, in addition to exploiting alternative data sources, will deliver even greater levels of insight and allow for improved risk management.
