Regional Computer Recycling and Recovery LLC (RCR&R) was originally founded in 1995 as a recycler and wholesale reseller of end-of-life electronic office equipment. As business increased, numerous challenges ensued from the overall facility dimensions and internal features. In order to determine the requirements of the new facility, RCR&R enlisted the aid of the National Center for Remanufacturing and Resource Recovery at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Final requirements were determined to be a minimum of 47,640 sq ft of warehouse space with 1,250 sq ft of office space. RCR&R began the move into its new facility in the summer of 2005 and completed it by the end of November 2005. The new facility was a former manufacturing facility that contained existing enclosed truck docks on both ends of the building to facilitate flow.
