INFINEON RACEWAY, Sonoma (June 8) - With only three NHRA Summit Racing Series events remaining on the calendar, things are starting to tighten up in the points standings. Don Creed, who hadn't won a weekend race since 1993, celebrated his birthday in grand style by winning Pro E.T. In the semi's, Creed's '74 Nova stopped Charlie Smith's '69 Dart on a holeshot to set up the final-round confrontation with Jeff Fowler's '66 Nova, which had eliminated the '72 Pontiac of Steve Caldwell in the semifinals.
