The author of “The Death of Archer Christian: College Presidents and the
Reform of College Football,” which appeared in the summer 1995 issue, wishes
to give correctly the name of Professor Philip C. Schwarz of Virginia Common-
wealth University, which was misspelled in a note of acknowledgment. The
author regrets the mistake.
