6.00-9.00 – Morning visit in BiałowieŜa National Park – the only remainder of
             primeval forests in Europe
10.00-11.30 – “Landscape of open windows” – local tourist organization promoting
             cultural landscape on three villages
12.30-13.30 – Lunch
13.30-16.00 – Biebrza National Park – the biggest park in Europe protecting swamps
17.00-18.00 – Sightseeing of Augustów – town with big conflicts between natural
             protection and new road investments
19.00 – Wigry, registration in hotel in the Camaldolese Monastery

9.00 – Departure and travel through Mazury region
10.00-11.00 – GierłoŜ – Hitler’s headquarter of the WWII, known as the “Wolf’s Lair”
12.00-14.00 – Krutynia river – surprise (!)

15.30-18.00 – Piska Forest – educational walk, pick mushrooms and other forests

19.00 – Pisz, registration in hotel and optional visit of Pisz as an example of small-

10.30-12.00 – Kulesze Kościelne – visit in milk production farm and interview with the

              Europe

Cost of participation
Conference fee: 200 € – covers conference materials (including the Institute’s publications
and the book of abstracts), lunches, tea / coffee and reception.
Study tour (optional): 300 € – (all-inclusive - covers transport, three hotel night, meals,
reception, professional guides, maps and other excursion materials).

Presentation & language
       Oral presentations are scheduled in 30-minutes blocks. After every two presentations
there will be some 30 minutes for discussion. In conference room, the following technical
equipment is available: Laptop, Beamer, Standard slide projector and Overhead projector. The
language of the Forum is English.
