Professional Experience

     1995: Development and management of the MCS Multimedia and Consulting
      Company in France. This group’s activity is based on consulting and client
      development and education in the field of new information and communication
      technologies.
     1995-2002: Consultant to decision-makers and businesses.

         1999-2001: Development, management and shutdown of the company ATTIME in
          Morocco. This company’s goal was to subcontract to perform WAP, Internet and
          information technology development for French businesses.
         Since 1996: Professor (Past) of International Management and Strategy: business
          strategy, strategic aspects of up-to-date information and communications technology
          (E-business) and international business management at the University of Technologies
          of Compiègne.
         1997-2000: Course design and training for Ile de France SMB/SMI business
          leaders under a European Community programme (MIDASNET). The
          programme was designed in collaboration with the Paris Chamber of Commerce and
          Industry; the aim of the training course was to make decision-makers aware of the
          strategic aspects of new information and communication technologies.
         1981-1994: Engineer and Manager for Hewlett-Packard (HP) in France, the
          Middle East, and North Africa
         1992-1994: Administrative Director for the HP France Customer Service
          Division:
          Personnel management and recruitment participation;
          Management and monitoring of client contracts;
          Management of the entire Division’s collections activity (1.3 billion in turnover);
          Negotiation with clients in the event of non-payment of debts;
          Training of District Managers in aspects of debt recovery;
          Co-ordination with HP France’s financial management;
          Implementation of an organisation and procedures to reduce unpaid debts and shorten
          payment delays.
         1989-1990: French Localization1 Manager based in Evry. Frequent travel to
          Grenoble, the USA, Geneva, Germany, Italy, the UK…
          Restructuring and reorganisation of Localization’s activity in France. Work in
          collaboration with the Director of Human Resources, the Director of the Technical
          Division and the European localization manager;
          Implementation of an outsourcing procedure for non-strategic activities (translation,
          desk-top publishing, etc.);
          Service purchasing and sub-contracting contract negotiations;
          Budget negotiations with R&D divisions (in France, the US, the UK, Germany, etc.);
          Management of the support activity for “localized” and adapted products;
          Tracking of French regulations and the resulting alterations required for certain
          products;
          Personnel management, re-qualification and development of profiles adapted to the
          new organisation;
          With the R&D and marketing divisions and the Country Localization Managers of
          European countries, needs identification and definition for product and service
          adaptation.
        1985-1988 Customer Service Director for the Middle East and North Africa
          (MENA) Division (Primarily for the Saudi Arabian market – English is this
          market’s working language)
          In co-ordination with the management of the MENA Division, manage the Customer
          Service activity for
          Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia;
          Implementation of a customer service structure adapted to MENA and corresponding
          to HP requirements;
          Implementation of a hot-line service based in Riyadh for Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait
          and Jordan;
          Sales and negotiation of service contracts;
          Personnel management (different cultures, religions and nationalities);
          With MENA and sales management, prepare HP Saudi Arabia for its transfer to a
          distributor
