Video Games in Aurora By Hayley
Imagine a world where kids are so extremely bored that they don’t even want to watch Dr. Phil. Imagine every time you checked on your child, they would say no to everything, even eating! Don’t let this become a reality to families by banning video games in Aurora. Video games are usually fairly cheap. Without a doubt, I am positive that the mayor should not ban video games in Aurora. Unquestionably, some video games are education. Educational means that it gives you knowledge that you might not learn in school. Even though some video games aren’t educational, you don’t even have to buy those. You can just buy the ones that seem appropriate to you. For example, Brain Age is very educational. It gives you math facts and tests your accuracy and mathematical speed. I play my brother’s Brain Age and I get not quite as fast as a calculator at my math facts. I do a lot better in math. Obviously, video games are enjoyable. Enjoyable means amusing. Video games are amusing because you can feel good about yourself. You can feel good about yourself because you are possibly playing an awesome video game and learning new things. Guitar Hero II is a really neat video game because you learn songs and learn how to use a fret board. I have games like Mario Party 8 and Guitar Hero II and, in my opinion, are really cool. Likewise, children can spend their free time playing video games and not nagging you. Free time is extra time that you have. Even though you will have more family time without video games, you can spend your family time playing family friendly video games. Big Brain Academy is an example of a family friendly video game. My whole family plays video games that we all like. It’s so much fun. Without hesitation, I am certain that video games should not be banned in Aurora. You can spend your free time playing them and some are educational. I suggest that you go to city hall right now and state, “Mr. Mayor, my mother made me mind my manners, so I politely say that video games should not be banned in Aurora.”
