Widewaters breaks ground on The Crossing at Forestville, located in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Syracuse, New York – February 7, 2007 – The Widewaters Group, Inc. recently announced that it
has broken ground on The Crossing at Forestville, located in Raleigh, NC at the intersections of US-
401 (Louisburg Rd.) and Forestville Road.

The Crossing at Forestville is a mixed use development which will include 150,000 SF of retail, 150
town homes and 25,000 SF of office space. Lowes Foods is anchoring the retail center which is
slated for a fall 2007 opening. The Lowes Foods will be a FreshSmart store, offering fresh produce,
meat seafood, bakery and floral departments. It will also offer a wide variety of groceries, including
gourmet and specialty items, natural foods and an extensive selection of beer and wine.

A new connector road will be built between US-401 and Forestville Rd. as a part of the Crossing
project and will share signalized access with Highland Creek, a 1,100 unit upscale residential
development by Centex. The immediate area has over 2,500 residential units approved or pending
approval. Other roadway improvements in the area will include the widening of US-401 to 5 lanes,
improvements to the 401/Forestville Road intersection, and the new I-540 interchange at US-401
which recently opened to the South.

The Crossing has in-line, out-parcel and office space available.
