                          SACRE Self-evaluation and Development Plan

1   Purpose of Report

1.1 To offer members the opportunity to consider progress made against the development plan for SACRE
    for the academic year 2005-2006, first introduced at the meeting held in July 2005.

2   Summary

2.1 At the meeting held on 31st November 2005 members of SACRE agreed a development plan for the
    academic year 2005-2006. A copy of the development plan is attached to this paper.

2.2 At the summer term meeting 2006 it was resolved that primary provision and points 5, 6, and 7 of the
    development plan should be the focus for review at the autumn term meeting.

3   Recommendation

3.1 That Members of SACRE consider the arrangements made to monitor provision in primary schools.

3.2 That Members discuss points 5, 6, and 7 of the development plan and consider possible action..

4   Background

4.1 At the spring term meeting, 2005, it was agreed that a steering group should be set up to produce a draft
    development plan to inform the work of SACRE. A draft development plan was produced at the summer
    term meeting 2005 and this was finalised at the autumn term meeting in the same year.

4.2 The development plan and a summary of progress to date is attached to this paper. Members will be
    asked to focus on items 5, 6, and 7, to identify possible ways forward and to make recommendations for
    action.

4.3 Members will also be invited to consider arrangements put in place to monitor primary provision in
    Staffordshire and to make recommendations for the future.
